Zumba

At Zumba we have been enjoying using the pom-poms in our routines. 

This week Mrs Keeble taught us a new routine to Katy Perry's 'Dark Horse'. 

Woolly Club

Here we are at woolly club on a Wednesday lunchtime. At the minute we are making pom-pomswith wool.

Sewing Club

Today some more children finished their lavender bags. The rest of the children were starting the prep for their next projects- some patchwork (which will eventually turn into a cushion) and some lettering to go in our school. 

Sewing Club

On Tuesday afterschool we have sewing club. 

To start off, we have been making lavender bags. 

After selecting our fabric, we learnt how to sew on buttons and then got ready to sew our bag together. We had to think carefully about how to pin it together (inside out, with the ribbon pinned in place),then sewing round, leaving a gap on the bottom edge. 

We then turned it the right way round, filled it with lavender and then carefully sewed it shut.

This is a blog dedicated to showing you some of the fun things we get up to in the various clubs at Caythorpe school. We have a variety of clubs on offer from sewing to singing, netball to knitting! Some clubs take place at lunch time, whilst others are after school.
